I just found out today that as a seller, you have to include everything that came with the original product even thought you are selling it used. So I almost got screwed over by this person over a missing Ethernet cable.
So I was just thinking, why can’t I do this to other marketplace seller that to not include everything that originally came with the original item….
So if anybody else want to abuse Amazon’s A-Z Guarantee Claim, do this.
- Open a new Amazon account and order an item from the marketplace that does not include all the parts.
- Wait until you have received the item and then send out a message to the seller and then file a claim.
- Amazon will support your claim and refund you everything!
- The best part is that you are NOT required to return the item to the seller!
Have fun and thanks for choosing Amazon……
I just got an email from Dell Direct Promotion telling me about how they are comparing their laptops Studio 15 and 17 with Apple MacBook Pro 15 and 17. [here] The price difference is actually legit, but there are more things that Dell should compare.
If you dig more into the details specs of the Dell laptops compared to the Apples laptops, you will find that there are things that Dell is leaving out of their comparisons. (I will only compare the 15″.)
- Dell’s thickness is 1.0″ front / 1.5″back, while Apple’s is 0.95″ front and back.
- Dell’s video is 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570, while Apple has NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB and for 2.8GHz model (which is being compared): additional NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512MB of GDDR
- Mac has the huge mouse pad
- Dell has max resolution of 1366 x 768 while Apple has 1440 x 900
- Apple promise up to 7 hrs of wireless productivity (in reality maybe 5hrs); my experience with Dell 15″ with 9 cell battery is only about 3.5-4hrs
- With a 9 cell battery, Dell will definitely weigh more
Look at the specs you self: [Dell] and [Apple]
After all my experience with Dell, I would pay the extra money to get better and more flexible service from Apple. The slickness of the Macbook is a plus. I don’t like OS X very much, but there is always Bootcamp and Parallel to put on XP and Linux.
Just a little over a year: it is official, the video card (nvidia 8400m) on my Dell XPS m1330 has finally failed! I knew this was coming, that is why I bought the 3 year warranty after I failed to get Dell to take back my m1330.
Let’s just say that my next computer will not be a Dell!
Beware everyone : )
I just bought a HTC G1 Google Android Phone from Walmart last week for $98 with 2-year upgrade. I think this is a great bargain considering that the t-mobile website is selling them with upgrade for $180. For some odd reason, Walmart phone rep did not force me to get the G1 data plan that cost $25 a month. That was exactly what I wanted! I am constantly surrounded with wifi connectiong, so I didn’t think $300 extra was worth it. So now the task was to get it to work by bypassing the activation screen.

From my previous post, I have been experiencing strange clicking sound on my laptop hard drive while I was running a clean install of Ubuntu 8.04. It clicks often enough for me to notice, so I did a search of anything that could be a cause of this frequent clicking and found this.

If you go google McCain and Bush, you will see that there are a lot of people who think the same way. From the policies he supports and the tactics he is using in this election, McCaine is pretty much G W Bush. The only difference is that McCain probably stick with the scripts and tries not to say stupid shit all the time. I went and looked at his site and realized that all the things that he “believes we should” do means nothing. All he is doing is taking problems and saying that we should fix it. He does not mention anything about “how” to fix shit. He is just saying what you want to hear. The plans that he laid out are not easily accomplished without major “shit” effects. By “shit” effects, I mean there will be severe consequences that are not expected.

Alright, there are recent official announcements from Nvidia and Dell that there are defects on the 8400m and 8600m mobile graphic chip. Even Yahoo News have reported on this matter. Nvidia is saying that they are going to spend $150 mil to $200 mil to get all these chips repair and replaced. Is Dell going to repair mine? I am kind of thinking not.
From trying to get my overheating issue fixed, I realize that Dell can’t do shit to fix a design flaw! I have gotten my motherboard replace and had it sent into their repair “depot” and it still has the same issue! I have spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support and they keep transferring me around like hot potatoes. If you did not return your laptop within the 21 days return period, you are screwed! I will not buy another Dell in my life again. I hope everyone else would do the same too.

I have had my Dell XPS M1330 for over a month and have recently started leaving it on all day and night. When I started doing that, I would wake up with it off (shutdown). I have seen this scenario before: something is overheating! I never thought anything about the warmth of the M1330 until now. It seems as hot as the MacBooks to me (by touch). It was hot like my old Inspiron 5100….I should have known that it was a bad sign…

Everybody knows that English is the “understood” official language of the USA. However there are a lot of people who choose not to “understand” this concept. Numerous generation of immigrants have accepted that English is the official language. You need to know English to make a good living in this country. Even, in the world perspective, English has been the international language for business. But when the country who helped made English into the world’s language of choice, is still not united under one language, you know that there is a major problem. This pretty much makes it very obvious that the USA is domestically not very united. How could they presume that they could fix the world’s problems when its domestic stability is at risk. Most people think that having a multiple language nation is what America represents. Ideologically, it is what we should aspire to do, but realistically, I think it will pose a major problem in the future.
